Words Do Have Duties

Words can change life's ways.
Some words may have come to stay.
Hold inventory of the words along the way
That have changed and altered life's display.

Someone said so long ago
Things they wanted another to know.
Knowledge they knew was needed to grow.
In guidance, they just gave it a throw.

Why must seed lay dormant so long?
Will a message become a forgotten song?
Was it waiting for wisdom, time and a place?
It must sprout and mature in humble grace.

Words brought change that only you know,
Those words may have cushioned realities growth.
Are there memories that only you may hold?
You may ponder the realities they fore-trold.

Pass along the wisdom only words can reveal.
Truth and right is sure to prevail.
Review the words that powered life's sails,
Words may guide through storms and windy gales.

Words can be treaasures free to own,
Each acquired by you alone.
Each has its own depth of meaning to hold,
Each displays power, remaining with measures untold.
