Bundled Up and Brave
by PamFord Davis

We bundled up; we braved frigid temperatures and set out on a trip to the Erie Canal. Ice skating is not at the top of my list of accomplishments; yet, it does trigger emotions in my master memory files. Wobbly knees, weak ankles and all, I joined siblings, cousins, friends and beaus. The "Ice Capades" celebrities were in no danger of me stealing their jobs or taking their bows.

"There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men (1 Corinthians 12:4-6 NIV)." I never mastered crazy eights; the Master kept me humble.
