Now That You're Fifty
by Fenny West

Now that you're fifty,
with eyes that are blurry
Tummy that is bulging,
legs that are wobbly,
bones that are cackling,
surely you have reached,
a mile stone of some note.

The hair may fast wither
making your head a desert
and the usual short walk
now a great long trek;
nothing to worry about,
the God of the mountain
is also the God of the valley.
