Blossom, My Rose
by lynn gipson

Blossom, my rose,
As your tiny leaf unravels,
Unwind your tender greens,
Reveal your precious petals.

Blossom, my wildflower,
Array your colors of heaven,
You have a special gift,
Your wildness is God given.

Blossom, my soul,
In sunlight of tomorrow,
Leaves of gold bring peace,
Shedding pain and sorrow.

Blossom, my heart,
Ease your ache at last,
Let loose your bindings,
Release the lonely past.

Blossom, my spirit,
Spread your broken wings,
Accept God's healing love,
Allow your joy to sing.

Blossom, my sinner,
Render your confessions,
Seek Christ to be your gardener,
To weed out all transgressions.

Blossom, my saint,
Glow your sinless light,
Raise your head to Him,
Pray for all tonight.

Blossom, my brother,
Arise from the dark,
Grow the stem of God,
In branches of your heart.

Blossom, my sister,
Let salvation come from rain,
Reach towards redemption,
You are meant to live again.

Blossom, my love.
Unsheathe your secrecy,
Come out into sun,
Unveil your mystery

Blossom, my rose,
On God's trellis once more,
Be His flower on the vine,
Climbing heaven's door.
