Insatiable Thirst
by PamFord Davis

Have you experienced an insatiable thirst recently? Most of us are ingesting fluids day and night. I keep cups of tea or glasses of ice water within reach. Large varieties of medications typically have dry mouth as a side effect. Users drink extra water in hopes of alleviating the problem.

Hot, humid climates increase our need and desire for hydration. Health officials issue warnings, advising the populace to stay inside whenever possible and to drink plenty of water. A less memorable time for excessive thirst occurs when we discover no water flowing through the tap.

The Good Shepherd quenches my insatiable thirst for God with His living water. He fills my cup. "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over (Psalm 23:5 NKJ)."
