I pursue and sue for peace Let me hear mourners mourn The casualties And be no more, no more Murder, no more war No more rape or innocents torn Let each infant drink her milk From the mother of her birth And each laugh last overlong, And each smile warm and long Happy may we leave our nest Joyful when the day is done Hopeful may we be tomorrow As we are this day.
