Triumph Over Evil
by PamFord Davis

Good has triumphed over evil throughout history. King Saul wavered in his faith, disobeyed God, and lost his authority and blessing. The Lord chose David, a man after His own heart (1 Samuel 13:14) to rule and reign over Israel. "There was a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David. But David grew stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul grew weaker and weaker (2 Samuel 3:1 Amplified Bible)."

Good does triumph over evil. Satan and his evil forces thought they held the trump card on Good Friday. He and his cohorts witnessed Jesus' arrest, beatings and crucifixion. They thought they had averted His kingdom reign, and redemption plan, as He cried out "It is finished (Luke 19:30a Amplified Bible)!" No! They had unknowingly played a part in bringing God's salvation plan to fruition.
