Valuables
by PamFord Davis

An individual inherits an old house from a long lost relative. The executor of the deceased reads the will and the party receiving the estate feels greatly honored. He travels a great distance to view the inherited estate; trembling he unlocks the front door. A second key fits the lock on a large safe. Locating the safe, he opens it and discovers valuable coins.

The world puts great worth upon gold, silver, and rare gems. They hold no intrinsic eternal value. "knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and spot (1 Peter 1:18-19 NKJ)."
