Qu`est-ce?
by PamFord Davis Profanity falls upon your ears and your face reveals disapproval. The acquaintance, with a smirk says, "Excuse my French!" Your instant thoughts, or if bold, your response, "Excuse me? Qu`est-ce?" What is it they infer? Cursing is not French; it is foul. "Don't use bad language. Say only what is good and helpful to those you are talking to, and what will give them a blessing (Ephesians 4:29 Living Bible)." I easily trace back personal speech patterns to parents or peers. To my shame, in teen years, it was not of the highest standards. "Sometimes it praises our heavenly Father and sometimes it breaks out into curses against men who are made like God. And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Dear brothers, surely this is not right (James 3:9-10 Living Bible)!" As an adopted child of God, he not only cleansed my heart; he washed out my mouth.
