We stand and cancer goes
by harvestgal Ndaguba

Slam!
A smack in the face
Pain spreading from the breast
To the neck, to the back
Into the shoulders
Doctors say it's bleak
No! I won't receive you
Coughing, coughing
No! Too much to live for
Baby climbs up on my lap
Smiles in my face
Kids run and play around me
Blind to the raging storm
I get up!
Bible says with long life He shall satisfy me
I'm not satisfied yet
I stand
I see the storm clouds moving
The sun breaks through the clouds
I stand
The winter is passing
The spring comes slowly
I stand
My husband sees
The danger is gone
We stand
The kids sense a celebration
We stand
We stand until we are satisfied
