Joy in Knowing

There is much joy in knowing that as a child of God, you are entitled to live stress-free lives, experiencing peace and freedom from angst, and the confidence that you are well provided for in these days of uncertainty and fear. There is much to gain by living in accordance with Jesus' plan for you. His ways are far and above anything we could ever envisage for ourselves. That's for sure! If we could only see all the promises unfolding and all the good that He has in store for us, we would never again walk in fear; in fact, we would cast all our cares onto the LORD, just as it says to do in His word. "Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." (1 Peter 5:6-7) It is without a doubt, that if we cannot experience the peace which surpasses all understanding - that certain peace that comes from our knowing that our Lord and Savior is going to be there for us through thick and thin, then how can we maintain ourselves in a way that shows others all the wonderful benefits of having a relationship with Jesus? Shine forth like the lights that you are, showing others around you that there's much more to this life than meets the eye. Leave them wondering why it is that you are able to cope with the deluge of challenges and issues that are a result of living in this fallen world, all with a smile on your face and a calm demeanour, and remember the peace that you are entitled to, is the peace that Jesus gives - it is a peace and joy everlasting. Colossians 3:15 "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful." Glory to God for these words, Amen.
