Children, Gifts from God
by PamFord Davis

Parents and grandparents have bragging rights. They have followed the progress of their children or grandchildren from day one. Noting evidence of physical growth, mental capacities and accomplishments, they documented them. They wrote details in baby books and in letters or emails. They snapped photographs and made video recordings. The child reaches adulthood; by rights, their family brags.

God has blessed me through my children and grandchildren. "Children are a gift from the Lord. Babies are a reward. Sons who are born to a young man are like arrows in the hand of a warrior. Happy is the man who has a bag full of arrows. They will not be defeated when they fight their enemies in court (Psalm 127:3-5 NCV)." I claim bragging rights; Justin, our oldest grandson, graduates from college in Las Vegas May 19, 2013!
