Tears In A Bottle
by Pastor QT Nyathi

Tears,
Colourless blood,
Flowing freely from not so colourful experiences,

Boy tears,
Man tears,
Gushing in spite of the lie-a man never cries.

Girl tears,
Woman tears,
Bitter juices from life's battering,

Tears,
Visible tears,
Invisible tears,

Every droplet matters to God,
Not one falls to the ground,
He collects them all in His tear-bottle,

In His bottle they are stored,
As a reminder that He knows all our sorrows,
In His bottle they are kept,
To keep them from hurting us,
In His bottle they remain,
So that He will turn them into His rain,

A healing rain,
A liberating rain,
A restoring rain,
A refreshing rain,
A sweet rain,
Raining down from God's tear-bottle.

You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book?
Psalm 56:8 (ESV)
