Telling the Time
by PamFord Davis

Do you remember your pride in learning how to tell time? Likely, you were in kindergarten or the first grade. Suddenly, the information clicked; you could look at the big classroom clock and tell the time of the day. You knew the hour, minutes and even seconds with the sweeping of the second hand. It began a love affair with clock watching.

"Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming (Matthew 25:13 NKJ)." We anticipate His return; yet we do not watch the clock. "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven (Acts 1:11b NKJ)."
