Forgetful
by PamFord Davis

How good is your memory? I admit to having an exceedingly poor memory of names. Shall I continue? Yes, I do enter a room to find something and stand there looking like a deer caught in a driver's headlights; I'm momentarily clueless of what I am there for. Then there are the regular occurrences of putting items away for safekeeping and completely blocking out the memory of where I placed them. How good is my memory of the Father's kindness and goodness?

"Praise the LORD, my soul! All my being, praise his holy name! Praise the LORD, my soul, and do not forget how kind he is. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He keeps me from the grave and blesses me with love and mercy. He fills my life with good things, so that I stay young and strong like an eagle (Psalms 103:1-5 TEV)." I can brush off a failing memory in daily experiences; yet, I cannot excuse forgetfulness of my Father's mercies and grace.
