Is This Life God's Way?

We recently saw our Supreme Court look favorably on same sex marriage which we see in the Bible has many references of this practice. The votes of 5,387.939 California voters has been annulled by the court. The role of the people for self government has now been erased by the court decree. Is that what the founders intended for this nation? Is that not what our constitution was designed to prohibit? The founding fathers used the concepts of "fragmented power", "de-centralized power". and "enumerated power ." as an insurance and protection against the temptation of tyranny, whether by a single person or an institution.

This past weekend, San Francisco had a parade celebrating the decision for the people living in that lifestyle. It is expected over a million people took part in the parade or participate as spectators.

I met a friend on the computer, that is a Russian Christian , living in Moscow, 41 years old and a college graduated engineer. I asked him if he is in hiding as a Christian and he said, " No, our people saw in 1970 that we could not survive with out God in our lives and our churches are filled every Sunday. We see where your country is going down the slippery slope our nation went for so long. He added. "If your President was over here with his marriage ideas, he would find himself in prison." It was a real surprise as he feels our newspapers do not reflect the correct image of the average person living in his country.

We see in the Bible, where God speaks concerning the concept of marriage and Jesus Himself confirmed that arrangement..."Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and they shall be one flesh: Genesis 2:24.

The words of Jesus in the New testament, "And said, For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and they shall be one flesh. Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder," Matt.19: 5-6.

When men seek to overthrow divine institutions that have anchored civilizations for millenniums of time the consequences can only be catastrophic, as has been proven time and time again. We may not agree with what man has changed in our country, however, the Bible tells us as Christians what we should do.

We as Christian are told in Book of James, chapter 5, verses 7 to 9, " Be patient therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. and in verse 8 we are told, " Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts , for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. Verse 9, " Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned; behold , the judge standeth before the door.

Our nation's founders, with all their knowledge, looked to the Bible for the Lord's guidance and protection. We see " In GOD We Trust", on all our money, coins and bills, but today is that still true or are they just words?

We pray for our nations leaders and trust we will all be in the church of our choice this Sunday singing and worshiping our gracious and loving Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.

God Bless America
