Searching for Self
by PamFord Davis

Frequently we hear of someone who is searching for them self. It's ironic; how can a person lose sight of them self? In my mind's eye, I see a confused person spinning around hopelessly looking for someone. We most often use the descriptive term when sharing information about individuals who have not discovered their calling in life. They flitter from school-to-school or job-to-job. Am I still searching for myself?

How can I best fulfill God's purpose for my life through his gifts of the Spirit? Am I making a difference in my world? (1 Corinthians 12:1-31) "All these are inspired by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills. For just as the body is one and has many members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ (1 Corinthians 12:11-12 RSV)." I delight in searching for him. (Jeremiah 29:13)
