Never,Yet Always
by PamFord Davis

Many a parent has wondered if anything they say to a preoccupied youngster, adolescent or teen is sinking in. Information has a way of seeping through the cracks. Sometimes they consider, comprehend, and retain more than we realize. With clarity, one of our grandsons taught me a lesson that he had learned from his dad. I inadvertently triggered a memory saying the word "never."

In rebuttal he replied, "Daddy says, 'Never say never!"

If-and-when God says never, we can be sure it is always true.

"Stay away from the love of money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, 'I will never, never fail you nor forsake you.' That is why we can say without any doubt or fear, 'The Lord is my Helper and I am not afraid of anything that mere man can do to me (Hebrews 13:5-6 Living Bible)."
