Sunshine Child
by Marijo Phelps

Child of Mine, times are coming when your hearing needs to be sharp. Sunshine child, walk free in the light of My smile with My light yoke as I lift your load to carry it and to carry you through. This time is but a moment, eternity beckons. Soon snares will be banished, feet skipping free. You are a soldier now, for a moment, soon to see your Commander's face, longing no more to KNOW.

Don't we long to be a "sunshine child" walking in the light of His smile? No matter how cloudy our day is we can do just that with our Jesus. Thank you doesn't seem like it begins to cover our gratitude and the expression of our hearts towards Him. He is walking us through this life, time in training to become more like Christ. Yes, we have those times when we falter and trip but He is there to pick us up and help us go forward once again. Oh, to become increasingly more like Jesus!!

1 Corinthians 13:12

For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in Part, but then I shall know just as I am known.

DIGGING DEEPER

Let's look up some scriptures and ask the Lord to apply them to our lives for "right now", today. Grab a pen and make a few notes.

Matthew 11:30

2 Timothy2:4

Psalm 141:9

My Commitment:

Prayer: Father God, we are overwhelmed at Your love that sent Your Son, Jesus. We are so blessed that you teach us and desire us to become more like Him and have provided the very means for us to do so. We praise Your mighty name for Your care and concern. Help us to be faithful and responsive as we put one foot in front of the other on our daily walk with You. In Jesus most incredible name, AMEN
