A Good Cry
by PamFord Davis

Flash back to the 60's "It's My Party" (and I'll cry if I want to). Leslie Gore had a hit record and I sang along. Boy meets girl, boy breaks girl's heart. The jilted party throws a pity party and cries their heart out. Been there, done that? Roy Orbison pulled our heartstrings with "Crying."

The Apostle Paul knew my propensity for sin and self-centeredness. I perceive and ponder the benefits of having a good cry. "Be miserable and mourn and weep. Your laughter must change to mourning and your joy to sorrow. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you (James 4:9-10 HCS)."
