Sunken Treasure and Buried Transgressions
by PamFord Davis

This morning, I read a short article about sunken treasure from a pirate ship in waters near Cape Cod. Man is always in search of wealth; be it from lottery, buried treasure, or the illusive pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. If he has to dive the deepest seas, spend his meager savings or reach rainbows through his imagination, he does it with determination. Not only treasure sits at the bottom of oceans; deeper still, God buried my transgressions.

"Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion on us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilst cast all their sins into the depths of the sea (Micah 7:18-19 Pilgrim Study Bible)." I will not foolishly go deep sea diving to retrieve my sins. I have been forgiven.
