What is it?
by PamFord Davis "What is it?" As volunteers, my husband Norm and I co-host a cable TV program, "Delta Dawn." I share riddles; most are humorous, yet, thought provoking. Today I ask myself, "What is it?" I am not riddling; I am pricking my heart. For many years, I have kept written prayer lists. People request prayer support; God places burdens on my heart. My lists include family, friends, communities, churches, nations, ministries and personal requests. At times, using a prayer list seems monotonous. A few minutes ago, the Lord spoke to my heart. What is it? Is it a wish list, as the one children make out for Santa? Is it a shopping list? Is it merely "things" I want God to place in my cart? No, it is not. It is an intercession covenant. "Hear my prayer; O LORD, Give ear to my supplications! In Your faithfulness answer me, And in Your righteousness."
