Opportunities of Accessibility

Handicapped parking is a wonderful concept and service to individuals with physical limitations. The handicapped people park in blue marked parking spaces, in front of government buildings, businesses, and stores. These spaces are clearly designated spots for handicapped parking only. It broadens opportunities of accessibility to the handicapped population. In the days of King David, handicapped individuals had few opportunities. Yet, he saw a need, remembered a promise and honored lame Mephibosheth. "David said, 'Don't be afraid. I'll be kind to you because Jonathan was your father. I'm going to give you back the land that belonged to your grandfather Saul. Besides that, you will always eat with me at my table (2 Samuel 9:7 CEV)." David, as ruler, provided Mephibosheth handicapped parking at his royal table.
