Hills of Inspiration
by PamFord Davis

Rock climbing has become a popular form of outdoor adventure. Last summer, I had the pleasure of befriending a young German born rock-climbing woman, while my husband and I were on vacation. She took part in a New Mexico group sponsored climbing event.

Petite and slim, she did not fit the stereotype muscular frame. I have never had a desire to climb cliffs of rock. In younger years, I climbed a pasture hillside in our Mycenae, NY neighborhood.

I have vivid memories of the panoramic view of the neighborhood from up on the hill. In faith, I look up to hills of inspiration. "I look up to the hills, but where will my help really come from? My help will come from the LORD, the Creator of heaven and earth (Psalm 121:1-2 ERV)."
