Media priorities are misguided
by Kenny Paul Clarkson

Interesting.

A man was secretary general of the United Nations for nearly a decade and later elected president of Austria. He was the quintessential achiever whose presence on the planet effected all of our lives.

Yet, when Kurt Waldheim passed away June 14, the media hardly noticed.

That gives us cause to wonder: If world-leader Waldheim's life is viewed as an insignificant vapor, how irrelevant the rest of us must be.

Of the earth's six-billion inhabitants, whose presence is so significant that the media would sit up, take notice, and pass along the minute details for the world to see?

Paris Hilton.
