Jesus Is The Reason
by Edward Davis

Grace and Peace be unto you my Beloved Sisters and Brothers,

I pray God's blessings upon you and your family during these Holy Days of winter. We have heard that, " Jesus is the reason for the season" however; I would like to simply say that "Jesus is the reason." In him, we live, move and have our being. Jesus is the maintainer and sustainer of the entire world. In fact the scriptures teaches that in John 1:3, that, " All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made." Not only was everything made through him but "in him we have redemption through his blood the forgiveness of sins, Jesus is the image of the invisible God,the firstborn over all creation", (Colossians 3:14-15). The scriptures goes on to say that by him all things were created that are in heaven and on earth. That's why when we say," Jesus is the reason for the season," we are short changing Jesus of his glory. Jesus is not only the reason for the season but he is the reason, all things were created through him and for him, and He was before all things and in him all things consist. We have said in our church confessionals that we give honor to God who is first in our life but the scriptures teaches that Jesus is our life, not only the first in our life, Jesus is the reason, nothing happens in your life without God's knowledge and permission, my brothers and my sisters...I am telling you that Jesus is the reason, He is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, Jesus is in the middle and everywhere at all times. The Psalmist said, if I go to the depths of hell, He is there, and if go to the highest heaven Jesus is there! Jesus is the reason, that is why He deserve all the praises! If it had not been for the Lord who was on my side! Remember Jesus is the reason, not for a season but for now and forever more....Give God some praises for being your everything for every situation and every circumstance...not only is Jesus the answer but Jesus is the reason!
