WE MUST USE OUR FAITH-To obtain God's promises, win the prize and enjoy His provision in 2014
by Tesse Wilson Our times are in God's hands Our lives are in God's hands Fear not children of God Jesus has overcome this world We can experience and maintain victory through our faith Faith is the key However, we must add to our faith virtue, knowledge, self control Perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness and love As we begin a new season, another leg of the journey of life in 2014 We must remember that we are in a race Hear the voice of the Apostle Paul as it echoes admonishing us to run with patience the race set before us We must be motivated by God's Word and His Spirit We must be focused Like Paul we must place our eyes on the prize set before us The prize is Christ Jesus This race requires endurance There are rivers to cross Mountains to climb Obstacles to face We need to have confidence and peace Strength and discernment We must be disciplined We must encourage others and encourage ourselves in the Lord To keep on running in spite of and despite the odds of life Now is the time to: Strengthen those weary hands and feet Gird up the loins of our minds Extend mercy and lift up those who stumbled and fell down Bear the burdens of the weak Help others to run Now is the time to: Examine our lives and walk (relationship) with our God What are those things that slows us down in this race Those besetting sins, bad habits and paralyzing fear The lack of joy, this can sap our strength Many of us were running well until we were hindered Our faith was challenged Mountains seemed like they would never move The wilderness experience seemed as though it would never end Goliaths intimidated us and we became fearful Now is the time to: Let faith arise in us Speak to those mountains again Our God, the Almighty Yahweh will cause us to leap over obstacles Now is the time to: Let faith arise in us Our God, the Almighty Yahweh will cause springs to arise in the desert for us When we feel weak and become fearful, we must Let faith arise in us Our God, the Almighty Yahweh will strengthen us by His Spirit Now is the time let faith arise in us Faith is necessary We need faith to walk and stand We need faith to enter into God's rest We need faith to fight the giants in our promise land We need faith to inherit God's promises We need faith to endure trials and tests Above all else take the shield of faith LIFT IT UP daily and quench the fiery darts of the enemy Faith lays hold and obtains Forgetting failures, set backs, disappointments, successes, hurts and pains We must Press forward in prayer Press forward to fulfill God's purposes Press forward to obtain the promises Press forward through the ups and downs of life Brethren, we are the apple of God's eye Let us admonish each other Like Paul to finish the race, keep the faith Lay hold on eternal life Remember it is not by might or by power but by the Spirit of the Lord that the work is done Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us Let us run, lay hold and obtain God's promises and His provision in faith, by faith and through faith Faith is the key Faith comes by hearing the Word of God Brethren, let us keep running this race in faith Tesse Wilson [email protected] All good gifts come from the Lord.
