Luggage for the Journey
by PamFord Davis After forty-six years of marriage, I only vaguely remember a few of our wedding gifts; yet, our gift from my Mom and Dad is as clear as the computer screen before me. They gave us an inexpensive set of luggage. I think Mom may have redeemed several saved books of S & H Green Stamps to purchase the suitcases. My husband Norm was leaving his job as all night WNDR announcer, to fill a position at WDDT, Greenville, MS. We'd need that luggage. As I moved from unbeliever to Christ follower, my journey of faith began. God has provided everything I need. "Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that his divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence (2 Peter 1:2-3 NAS)." The title to an oldie rings true. "To Know Him Is to Love Him!"
