No Evil
by PamFord Davis

"See no evil, hear no evil, and speak no evil." The evil inflicted upon the Hebrews in Egypt was no monkey business. Pharaoh forced them to gather straw and to use it to make vast amounts of bricks, for construction of new supply cities. Their work was grueling and their taskmasters were cruel and demanding. In desperation, the Hebrews cried out to their merciful God.

He is merciful and compassionate. He did see their plight; the Great I Am heard their prayerful wails, caused by the evil inflicted upon them. As protector, he spoke to Moses of the evil bondage his Hebrew brethren were experiencing. Those experiencing such inhumane treatment were in need of deliverance.

"Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. Come now; therefore, I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt (Exodus 3:9-10 KJV)."
