Take Me Home
by Faith Noles The troubles of this world had weighed my heart down, Until I thought I'd lost the treasures that once I had found. The pain I went through had made my heart numb, Looking at myself, I didn't like what I had become. I cried, Jesus, I miss You, Your hand within mine, Without You, my life has no rhyme. The days are dark, the nights are long, Oh Lord, please take me home, where I belong. It had been so long since I talked to you, I didn't know how to pray, This heart was so broken, the words got in the way. Then tears fell from my eyes like a cleansing, cooling rain, I felt you reach deep inside and take away all my pain. I cried, Jesus, I missed You, Your hand within mine, Because of You my life now has rhyme, Days may be dark, nights may be long, Yet I have peace because I'm home, where I belong.
