Almost Made My Day

Ah the ladder, just where he put it last time back of the church under a shelter latticed over an oil drum, hidden cave away from the elements. Easily grasps the end of his aluminum ladder careful not to slash skin from sharp edges, eases it down, clatters across the lawn, lays it against the shed thought about it all, during am early light. Get the ladder lay it against the shed, climb and view a Cardinal nest, high enough to see the young, fifteen feet above. And he does, climb, up the ladder.
