This Too Shall Pass
by PamFord Davis

"This too shall pass" is a reality; things rarely remain the same. Yet, if we are grieving, discouraged, stressed or fearful-the cliche contains only empty words. We feel stuck in our crisis of sorrow, hopelessness and anxiety; feeling afraid of what may not change, we sense that we may be experiencing the exception to the cliche statement. I dare not trust the cliche.

I trust the LORD and receive encouragement in His authoritative word.

"Be merciful to me, O God, be
merciful to me!
For my soul trusts in You;
And in the shadow of Your wings I
will make my refuge,
Until these calamities have
passed by (Psalms 57:1 NKJ)."
