The Great Communicator

When we think of a communicator we picture a news reporter, a politician, or a pastor, or someone that gives us a message or exchanges information. The greatest Communicator of all time is our gracious and loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We see in the Bible why God sent His Son to the earth, John 3:17, " For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but the world through him might be saved."

For us sinners, God's Son would have to bring a message to the world that would be extraordinary to attract everyone's attention. First, Jesus was born of virgin Mary and we all know the Biblical story of how God protected his Son as a young child and moved the family to Egypt . During our Lord's time here on the earth he performed many miracles and those that were there quickly realized they had to come from God. Then, our Lord died on the cross and took all our sins upon himself, shedding his precious blood to cover our sins. Then, he was buried and on the third day rose from the dead to become our living Lord. He then spoke to his disciples as we see in Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spoke unto them saying, " All Power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I command you; and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

We can see God sent us a Message with his Son coming to the earth that truly attracted everyone's attention for the past 2,000 years. Our calendar is now AD after the birth of Christ, we have annual celebrations of our Lord's birth, and his victory over death. When God took his Son home to heaven our Lord left us the Comforter the Holy Spirit who helps us here on earth. We were also given a way to communicate to God through his son Jesus Christ as we see in the Bible New Testament, John 16:24." Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name; ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full," Yes, if we want to pray to God, through his Son is the only way to pray according to the Bible. John 16:26. " At that day ye shall ask in my name, and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you."

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was only here on the earth for a very few years but he left a permanent message for all of us. We no longer need an animal sacrifice to take away our sins as our Lord became a one time living sacrifice, taking away our sin once for all. We see according to John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life," God sent us a powerful message through his Son the greatest Communicator of all time, He will save us by his Grace if we only ask the Lord to be our Savior and repent of our sins. The time is now to make that decision as tomorrow maybe too late.

Let us all join in worship this Easter Sunday in the church of our choice as we sing praises to our living Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

God Bless America
