Mostly Grumble
by PamFord Davis

Problems happen. Trouble knows my address. I'm not immune to misfortune or discouragement. Yet, I do have a choice as to how I will respond. I confess that I suffer with chronic complaining disorder. It's wrong to grumble; I confess it as sin to my Lord.

I received an insightful poke in a passage today.

"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong (2 Corinthians 12: 9-10 NKJ)."

I 'mostly grumble.' Apostle Paul 'most gladly' boasted in difficulties. As a result, the power of Christ rested upon him, his service to the Lord and outreach to the lost.
