The Good Side Of Worry
by Buife Nomeh

"Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?" - (Matthew 6:26, KJV)

Worry is an antidote to mind peace. If you are suffering from a calm spirit, take up worry and all the quietness in your soul is bound to give way...guaranteed! You can't afford to keep on living a day at a time. I think that tomorrow needs you to help it worry about itself. So please, get on with it - be tomorrow's keeper. Who knows, you might just end up with high blood pressure. Think, think, think. Worry, worry, worry. About anything and everything. Until your brain begins to have unstable and erratic electric charges, please don't stop. PLEASE.

Yeah? You don't like what you are reading? But hey, that's how we choose to spend the most of our day - worrying about tomorrow. Planning and unplanning our tomorrow. We love the loads. Jesus says, "let Me give you a ride" and we're all like "no Lord, I can manage. The distance isn't long. I can walk and besides the load is not that heavy." Really? Get into the van already!

And then we're walking and every driver is cussing because we are really making an effort to turn them into murderers. We can hardly see because we are deep in thoughts of tomorrow. Again, the Lord pulls over, "My dear get in." "Oh no Lord, You worry a lot. It's alright. I got this" we reply. Really? The Lord worries a lot? Oh, I guess we love having some heated mental activity/exercise, right?

In Matthew 6:25-26, the Msg, Jesus said, "If you decide for God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don't fuss about what's on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to Him than birds."

Jesus says, "the birds I carry in My van, the lilies of the field have a place in here too. I love them, the works of My hands, a lot. That's the reason I care for them. But you and you and you are far more important to Me. You mean a whole lot to Me. Let Me take care of you. Let Me. Child, please?"

"Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light." - (Matthew 11:28-30, KJV)

Child of God, stop trekking! Stop going on foot when your Father is King. Tomorrow will always come and tomorrow will always worry about itself and believe me, it doesn't need our help. And just so you know, all any of us has got is heartache, headache and every ache you can think of if we don't lay it all at the Master's feet. Lay it all and walk away. Don't look back. Don't desire the things that caused you pain when you have better in Christ. Don't.
