Reach for the Sky!
by PamFord Davis

"Reach for the sky!"

Bandana clad bandits of the Wild West shouted out their wicked demands.

"Put your hands up!"

Victims relented in fear; their raised hands symbolized surrender and helplessness. They were at the mercy of the robbers.

We cry out to our benevolent God, asking for mercy.

"And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me a sinner (Luke 18:13 NKJ)!"

Victors, reach for the sky!

"I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands (1Timothy 2:8a NKJ)."
