Trying
by Jeanie Hannah

Throughout the day things get tough.
Sometimes frustrating and hard to cope.
My mind wonders of bad things to say
But i plant my face in my palm and pray.

One by one daily struggles pop up
Some bug me a little and some alot.
People complain and squabble
Trying to control one another.

I sit and listen
But comment I do not
I must stay focused on my Father's business
to bring Him Glory and be His good witness.

Over and over I am faced with trials
Sometimes I am overcome
And sometimes for just a moment
I plant my face in my palm and groan!

At the end of the day
Its best I can say
Forgive me Lord Ive fallen short
But pure in my heart
Was the desire to be an obedient child.

Once again I bow my head
I plant my face in my palm
and give thanks to my Abba Father
For helping me through all life's struggles
and making me stronger.
