The power of praise

The power of praise:
Psalm 22:3: The Lord is enthroned in the praises of His people.

The bible makes it clear that as Christians, we are engaged in a constant raging battle with spiritual forces. Battles which sometimes take their toll on our moods, health, which may even veer into other areas of our lives. (Eph.6:12). However, there are weapons available for us to dislodge the raging enemy, but they are not, carnal (not of the flesh/cannot be seen or handled), but are unseen spiritual, mighty in God for the pulling down of strong holds. (2cor.10:4)

Therefore can you imagine how unassuming activities like giving praise to God. I mean giving praise, regardless of the sound of your voice, or your choice of instruments; can be your most potent weapon? It gets further uncomplicated when all we do is clap our hands and make shouts of joy to our King.

In the book of exodus Moses sang a song of praise, saying, who is like you, O Lord, among the gods? Glorious in Holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders. Ex. 15:11, meaning that when God is praised; He does things that leave you in awesome fear of his majesty. What's more is that God inhabits the praises of His people; He becomes enthroned in the situation at hand.

The bible is filled with many stories of how God took over situations of impending calamities, war or captivity when His people began to praise Him. One clear example in the New Testament is of Paul and Silas, who were locked up in jail and the temporarily stopped by the enemy. But as soon as they began to praise they drew the throne of God right into that prison and, and as God inhabited their praises; there was a great earthquake. The foundations of the prison shook, all the doors were opened and everyone's chain was loosed. Acts 16:25

Today if you will praise God for the rest of the day you are sure to experience overwhelming victories.
