Daggers of Doubt, Sword of Sufficiency
by PamFord Davis

Satan bombards our minds with daggers of doubt; yet, we do not despair. Raising our shields of faith, we extend the sword of sufficiency!

Peter was fearful when assailed by winds. Sinking in despair, he cried out to Jesus.

"Lord, save me (Matthew 14:30b HCS)!"

Jesus rescued Peter immediately. He reached out his hand, grasped Peter's and spoke words of disappointment in the 'Big Fisherman's' doubt.

"You of little faith, why did you doubt (Matthew 14:31b HCS)."

Like boxers in the ring, we shield ourselves in most vulnerable areas, our minds and hearts.

"In every situation take the shield of faith (Ephesians 6:16a HCS)."

We stand our ground and prepare to attack!

"Take the sword of the Spirit, which is God's word (Ephesians 6:17 HCS)."
