In, Way Over My Head
by PamFord Davis

It happens; I have a tendency to get in 'way over my head.'

"At the evening sacrifice I arose from my fasting; and having torn my garment and my robe, I fell on my knees and spread out my hands to the LORD my God. And I said: O my God, I am too ashamed and humiliated to lift up my face to You, my God; for our iniquities have risen higher than our heads, and our guilt has grown up to the heavens (Ezra 9:5-6 NKJ)."

Confessing my guilt, I admit that I am in over my head. I need His forgiveness.

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 NKJ)."

Jehovah God; He is the lifter of my head!

"But You, O LORD, are a shield for me,
My glory and the One who lifts my head (Psalms 3:3 NKJ)."
