Mountain Top Prayer Room
by PamFord Davis

Sure, I admit I would like to have daily mountain top experiences; yet, could I endure the rigors of the steep climbing? The valley also has advantages, often providing me with a close up view of green grasses, wildflowers in bloom and fresh water springs.

Sometimes, when I least expect it, the LORD leads me by the hand through the valley. We ascend the mountain slopes to its top for a brief peak at paradise. Jesus is well accustomed to the seclusion and heights of a mountain top prayer room.

Christ Jesus prayed when religious leaders rejected His deity 'and' His powers to heal. During times of prayer He found communion with His Father; receiving strength and guidance, Christ made crucial decisions.

"During those days He went out to the mountain to pray and spent all night in prayer to God. When daylight came, He summoned His disciples, and He chose 12 of themHe also named them apostles (Luke 6:12-13 HCS)."
