Happy Thanksgiving
by PamFord Davis Most people are familiar with Christmas in July; let me introduce you to Thanksgiving in September. If it catches on, we might make it a daily celebration. Psalms 136 is a 26 verse Thanksgiving message to merciful God. The first verse is in the form of a command with explanation. "Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever (Psalms 136:1 NKJ)." The summation in the Psalmist's closing verse repeats the theme. "Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven! For His mercy endures forever (Psalms 136:26 NKJ)."
