Persevere Now
by Tenielle Cook

For many months now I have wrestled with what is God's will for my life? Today, through God's loving grace and mercy there was a response: "37Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 22:37-39, New International Version). The Divine glory that comes with understanding this response is that there is no time limit nor circumstance tied to this truth. Also, it is God's will that we remain in love with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ throughout all seasons of this lifetime.

The second command in this response echoed another Divine truth which reminds believers to: "2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will ishis good, pleasing and perfect will." (Romans 12:2, New International Version). Now, you may ask how does loving your neighbor as yourself(Matt. 22:39) relate to knowing God's will for your life? In one word, "RELEASE".

Release, past hurts; Release, those you love to Jesus Christ in prayer; Release, your personal desires for selfish gain to Christ; Release, your joy and confidence back God for His one and only begotten Son, Jesus Christ coming to free us and give the promised future and hope to have everlasting life! When it comes to knowing God's will for our lives it may begin to reflecting on HIS eternal love for us and the peace with knowing He will keep His promises!
