An Allotment Check
by PamFord Davis

When considering the word 'allotment,' a military wife's allotment check comes to mind. She receives a designated portion of what her away husband earns. I would guess the amount is meager; yet, she stretches the money from check-to-check. The Lord meets all our needs and I'm making a sincere allotment check of my blessings.

"Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation (Psalms 68:19 Scoffield Bible)."

Did you catch the key words? Each word is significant; yet, I key in on loadeth and benefits. He is not miserly when doling out daily provisions to his children; instead, he loads benefits upon us. The Psalm writer recognized how blessed of God that he was; in return, he offered up a praise blessing to his redeemer.
