Recognize Philosophical Substitution
by PamFord Davis

Some relish every opportunity to debate philosophical issues; wanting the last word in all conversations, they reject rebuttal and wear their feelings on their sleeve. Arrogantly, they tout their opinions at Ivy League campuses, over the airwaves, on blogs and through social media. All freedom of speech is something to cherish.

I give thanks, and do not take for granted, the freedom to proclaim 'truth' in our churches.

"Be careful that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit based on human tradition, based on elemental forces of the world, and not based on Christ. For in Him the entire fullness of God's nature dwells bodily, and you have been filled by Him, who is the head over every ruler and authority (Colossians 2:8-10 HCS)."
