Scrub Board
by PamFord Davis

I'm glad the old-fashioned scrub board went out with blue Monday laundry day. Yet, I am so grateful that the LORD God continues to give me thorough soul scrubs.

"Wash away my guilt, and cleanse me from my sin. For I am conscious of my rebellion, and my sin is always before me (Psalm 51:2-3 HCS)."

King David came clean about his rebellion; he had sinned against God.

"Against YouYou aloneI have sinned and done this evil in Your sight (Psalm 51:4a HCS)."

David realized that he had a heart problem.

"God create a clean heart for me and renew a steadfast spirit within me (Psalm 51:10 HCS)."

I may be old-fashioned but confession and repentance never goes out of style.
