Do You See What I see?
by Myrtle (Virginia) Thompson

We miss so much at Christmas if we know only the story of the babe in the manger. "Do you see what I see," a line from a popular Christmas song, is the story as Scripture outlines it that the second person of the Triune God became man and was born as a baby. John called this Baby "the Lamb of God" who became the sacrifice for our sins.

The Bible is a narrative, a "one liner" message tracing God's plan for a fallen creation from the first Adam to the "second Adam," Christ. Its message flows from the promise of a Savior in Genesis 3:15 to the promise of how the world will end in Revelation.

Through the prophets, God revealed more and more until He revealed His whole plan in the Scriptures.
