Fast Paced Generation
by PamFord Davis Am I the only one in this fast-paced generation that is involved in a perpetual game of catch-up? I am not one who is a perfectionist and organization is not on my name card; yet, I try, as the idiom implies, to stay on top of my game. Catch-up? I look up to the Master of the catch! "And He said to them, 'Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.' And they immediately left the nets, and followed Him (Matthew 4:19-20 NAS)." I wonder Am I the only one in this self-absorbed generation not daily actively involved in the evangelism calling that Jesus prepares us to do? Disciples left angling as a profession behind, stepping forward to reel in men for the Savior's redemption.
