Can You Be Certain?
by PamFord Davis 'Can't get any better than this!' So you say, but can you be certain? When I was dating my sweetheart, I lived in torment until reunited. Each day, feelings of affection surpassed those of the ones before and a desire to please him became my greatest wish. After time, affection merged with commitment by way of an engagement ring. Wedding plans commenced. Our families sent out invitations and as bride & groom, we exchanged vows, making the marriage covenant legal and binding. As newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Davis snuggled each morning and pledged undying love. 'I love you more than you love me.' 'No, I love you more!' As followers of Christ, we are His bride. Our intimacy grows sweeter day-by-day. The Lord expresses His love in varied ways. " His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness (Lamentations 3:22b-23 NKJ)."
