Giving Your Two Cents Worth
by David Rester You who come before the Lord to give; Do so, not out of obligation; But give with joy of heart; Out of love and true passion for God. Give not out of your abundance; As what is not needed, out of access; For these are seen as empty; And are given to God in vain. For a gift given out of ones need; From that which God has provided; Is given in true worship, absolute faith; That He who gave it, will replace it, with increase. This truth being shown by the widow with two mites. As the rich gave out of abundance; Out of poverty, she gave all her living; For her faith and trust was truly in God! From the day I responded to God's calling, accepting His love, by repenting, and accepting Jesus as Savior and Lord (all through Him, His love, and GRACE); He has continued to grow our relationship, revealing all He desires, for me to know and share.
